Any graduating Senior who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and is planning to attend an accredited college or university is eligible to apply.

USI B/MD Scholarship 

Any graduating Senior who is interested in studying medicine at USI is eligible to apply.

James Graham Brown Scholarship

Any Senior who has been accepted to Kentucky Wesleyan College and has a minimum GPA of 3.8 should have received a Brown Scholarship invitation via email.  If you did not, please reach out to our Guidance Office.

Hagan Scholarship Foundation

The Hagan Scholarship is a need-based merit scholarship.  

Some criteria includes:

  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Must enroll in 4-year college or university for Fall, 2026
  • Must work 240 hours from 1/1/26 to 9/1/26.

Tri Kappa Vocational Scholarship

Seniors who have been admitted to an accredited post-high school vocational, technical or trade school by February 13, 2026, and who plan to complete certification and/or licensing within two years of enrollment are eligible to apply.

Complete the fillable form.  Your transcript will need to be uploaded before you submit your application.  Contact the Guidance Office for a copy.

Bally’s Evansville Project 21 Scholarship

Project 21 is an educational program designed to communicate the consequences associated with underage gambling.  High school, vocational and college students may submit posters, essays and/or video/DVD’s addressing the subject of deterring young people from engaging in underage gambling or on the social and/or legal ramifications of underage gambling.  Three $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in each category (Poster, Essay and Video).

ISU Scott College of Business Scholarship 

Incoming Freshman to ISU, majoring in Business, are eligible to apply for four-year renewable Networks Scholarship. Students must demonstrate high academic performance, involvement in high school and their community, and show leadership potential.  See additional information, requirements in the link below.

Memorial Medical Center Foundation Scholarships

The Memorial Medical Center Foundation is offering over $75,000 in scholarship opportunities for current high school seniors or students currently enrolled in post-secondary education.  Applications open on January 1, 2026 and must be applied for electronically.  For a complete listing of scholarships available, the requirements, and to access the application, see the link below.

Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship


Seniors who plan to study Education and intend to teach in Indiana for at least 5 years are eligible to apply for awards up to $10,000 per year ($40,000 total).  Requirements:

  • Top 20% of graduating class; or
  • Top 20% score on the ACT (25) or SAT (1120); or
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Rockport Elementary Remembers Scholarship

The RRS will provide (2) $250 awards to 2 SSHS students who attended Rockport Elementary for the entirety of their Kindergarten through 5th grade years.  The scholarship is available to any former RE student who will enroll in higher education, will be entering the workforce via employment, or who is enlisting in the military.

Eligible students must have excellent attendance and citizenship records, must have attended RE K-5th, and have a 2.5 + GPA or a showing of improved GPA working toward a 2.5.  

Eligible students interested in applying will need to pick up the application requirements and information in the Guidance Office.

Ted Hitch Scholarship Program

The Liberty Federal Credit Union is offering ten (10) Ted Hitch Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each to graduating high school seniors.  Seniors must meet the following criteria:

  1. Applicant or applicant’s parents/guardians must be a member of LFCU for at least 18 months prior to the March 6, 2026 deadline;
  2. Student must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.75
  3. The use of at least 3 LFCU services by the student or the parent.
  4. FAFSA has been filed.

Southern Indiana Power 

The Operation Round Up Scholarship is available to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors in an accredited college, university or other program in the fall.  

Criteria:

  • Resident of Spencer, Warrick, Dubois or Perry County
  • Applicant is a member of Southern Indiana Power who participates in Operation Round Up, or is a dependent of the member
  • Applicant is a full time student carrying at least 12 hours of study
  • Applicant has a 3.0 GPA or higher.

John and Marilyn Rothrock Academic Scholarship

The Rothrock Scholarship up to $1,000 is available to all Seniors and past graduates of South Spencer who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in an education or business program.  Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be enrolled as a full-time student for the 2026-27 academic year.

This application does require a faculty recommendation letter.

Indiana Farm Bureau Scholarships

The Ag Impact Scholarships are designed to focus on the applicants’ current involvement, future commitment, and potential impact on agriculture, as well as academic and career potential.  Scholarships are available to graduating Seniors and students currently enrolled in post-secondary.

Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Scholarship

The Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship Program Application is now available.  Any student committed to pursuing an education and career in law enforcement at an Indiana College or University is eligible.  Please come to the Guidance Office for an application.

Indiana Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship

Any Senior member of the SSHS Key Club who plans to attend college in Indiana is eligible to apply for the local and district scholarship awards.  Copies of the application and information can be picked up in the Guidance Office.

INDIANA DUCKS UNLIMITED SCHOLARSHIP

The IDU Scholarship is now open to graduating Seniors.  Requirements, information and the application, can be accessed at IDU Scholarship

Indiana Senior & Student-View Scholarships

The 2026 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering over $13,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school.  Access application at Student Insights Scholarship

Gill Wedding Orthodontics Scholarship

Two nonrenewable $1500 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who are in treatment or have completed treatment with Gill-Wedding Orthodontics. Applications can be accessed at Gill-Wedding Orthodontics or paper copies are available in the Guidance Office.

Deadline:  Received no later than March 13, 2026.


INDIANA STATE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS

ISTA offers several scholarships for students planning on pursuing a degree in education.  See website for requirements, eligibility and application.

ANDREW & KIMBERLY STEPHENS FAMILY FOUNDATION - **Full-Tuition Scholars Award**

This scholarship provides a multi-year commitment to pay full tuition for a deserving student pursuing a university, college, or skilled trade education. The goal is to ensure that cost does not limit ambition for students who have demonstrated an ability to focus and apply themselves to perform to the best of their abilities. We are seeking applicants who want to develop their talents, achieve independence and ultimately build lives of purpose.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Scholarship 

The SVdP Scholarship Program is designed to help neighbors in need living in Dubois and Spencer Counties to earn an Associate degree, a technical certification, or learn a trade including but not limited to: hairdresser, welder, CNC operator, electrician, truck driver, computer technology, plumber, LPN, phlebotomy, and auto diesel.

Come to the Guidance Office for a paper application and letter of recommendation information OR email  for a fillable form.
